College Showcase Trip for Canadian Teams to the Southern
USA April 2012

Premier Soccer Services can organize your customized soccer trip to the Southern USA around The Open Cup.  Come early and stay late to visit, play matches, and have clinics at colleges.  Have a more complete trip to a College Showcase tournament – include college visits, meet coaches, play matches with universities, visit different cities and colleges!



There are over 50 universities within a 3 hour range of Decatur, AL from small private universities like NAIA power Lee University to major SEC public universities like U of Alabama and Ole Miss. 
This allows a great cross section of schools for exposure and interactions will to gain the most value on your college showcase trip.

Decatur, AL, April 13-15th Boys and Girls teams

International youth tournament 2 hours South of Nashville (75 minutes North of Birmingham, AL) in Decatur, AL.  We will have premier level teams competing in the highest divisions of the tournament.  Teams from 7 US states and 3 countries already committed and in negotiations with more.  One of the most important aspects is the Jack Allen Soccer Complex- which is one of the best complexes in the country.  It has hosted national team exhibitions with the women’s teams of Mexico, Ghana, and Argentina.  The University of Memphis women’s program (National Ranking #4 in Division 1) will be playing an exhibition match on the Saturday evening of the tournament against Samford University (NCAA National Tournament 1st round).  The weather is great in Alabama in April.  College coaches from across the region will be on hand to scout boys & girls teams.  Prof club academies from Mexico & El Salvador will be entered.

Opportunities for matches with University teams:
Girls teams, Under 18 to Under 16 could have the opportunity to schedule matches with college teams.   This is a unique opportunity to compete at the college level now and showcase your talents.  In addition to the university as an opponent, area college coaches will be invited to observe and scout.  It is possible for matches from Division 1 to NAIA and Division 3 based on the level of the team.  

Opportunities for training sessions at host University and University coaching staff
Boys and Girls teams Under 18 to Under 16: Teams can visit a university, receive a clinic from the university coaching staff at the university’s facilities, and have a Q+A/ analysis session with the staff.          

Opportunities for tours and meetings at universities about:
soccer program, University life, admissions, academics, financial aid & requirements.  
Tours & meetings with universities can be organized based on the team’s interests.

Organizational help:
We can organize the schedule and logistics of the trip to use your time efficiently and take advantage of all the opportunities that exist for a team.  Having valuable contacts in the area and local knowledge can assist in the costs and also quality of the trip.  Access to university student cafeterias can add to the experience and keep meal costs lower.  Recreational activities can be arranged such as amusement parks, pro sports,  museums etc.



Approximate Trip costs: The Open Cup registration: $575 USD
 
Flights: schedule to Atlanta GA, Birmingham AL, Huntsville AL, or Nashville TN
 
Hotels: Hotel costs at $90USD to $150 based on star quality.  Includes breakfast. Rooms can accommodate up to 4 players to a room
 
Meals: Budget of $25USD per day per person should be accurate
 
Local transportation: Two 15 passenger Vans - $2800USD total for 1 week

tour Birmingham Southern College – Division 3 program

match vs Samford University at Samford [Girls]
Clinic at U of Montevallo – Division 2 program [Boys]
 
Friday April 13th morning visit to Division 2 U-A Huntsville (Boys or Girls) – option of clinic
(Girls option) visit to U of Alabama and soccer program
 
Fri-Sunday The Open Cup in Decatur AL –
 
Monday April 16th visit and tours at Kennesaw State University and Emory University in Atlanta-
 
Tuesday April 17th College match (Girls) v U of Georgia, Clayton State University, or Mercer

Training Session- Clinic at Clayton State University (mixed training session with
