All games shall be played in accordance with FIFA Laws, except as specifically modified
by these rules.
FORMS, DOCUMENTATION, ELIGIBILITY and TOURNAMENT HEADQUARTERS
- Tournament headquarters for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday will be at the Mississauga Hershey Center Fieldhouse (Refer to maps).
- Each team, on checking in at registration, must provide a local phone number and name/location of hotel, if applicable, of the designated contact person who can be reached at any time, should the necessity arise.
- All players must have current, Player Registration Cards, Team Rosters and Permission to Travel Forms.
- Players’ numbers and personal information MUST be listed on the tournament Team Roster.
- All players must have a player registration card or a trial permit with birth certificate and photograph and be registered with their team through their club.
- All players must be currently registered with their provincial, state or national association. All out-of-district teams must have the appropriate permission to travel forms authorized by their governing association or district. All out-of-province players must show proof of medical insurance coverage and all out-of-province teams must show proof of liability insurance coverage.
- All teams may be register up to 20 players, a team roster must be submitted and only those listed may play. The roster may contain up to four guest players from other teams within the team’s club.
DURATION OF GAMES
The duration of tournament games shall be in accordance with the following:
3 Showcase games:
Two 40-minute halves, no overtime period
All games will be played with a running clock. The referee may stop the clock for serious injuries or other incidents. The referee is the official timekeeper and therefore all decisions regarding game duration are solely at the referee’s discretion and shall not be protested.
FIELD CHECK-IN TIME AND FIELD AND GAME EQUIPMENT
PLAYER REGISTRATION CARDS AND THE OFFICIAL TEAM ROSTER, APPROVED BY UMBRO TOP RATED INVITATIONAL STAFF, MUST BE PRESENT AT THE FIELD AT CHECK-IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO A GAME AND FOR THE DURATION OF THE GAME.
- Check in time is 30 minutes prior to the scheduled kick-off.
- Players’ numbers MUST be listed on the Team Roster. Players must wear numbers visible on the back of their uniforms and these numbers shall coincide with those listed on the team's official Roster.
- Players shall wear shin guards in accordance with FIFA laws.
- No metal cleats will be allowed, and no jewellery will be allowed.
- Where opposing team’s uniform colours are similar, the designated home team will change colours. The designated home team is listed first on the schedule.
- When requested by the referee, each team must provide a referee assistant.
- A #5 ball is used for U15 through U18.
- Players and coaches of both teams will take the same side of the field. All other supporters will take the opposite side.
PROTESTS
Protests will only be entertained if received within 1 hour after the completion of the game in question. All protests must be written and accompanied with the protest fee of $100.00 payable by cash or money order only. Protest fee will be totally refunded if the protest in question is deemed to be valid.
